GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness & Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is a national, grant‐funded secondary into post‐secondary education access program through the US Department of Education. This school year, Gear UP award two scholarships to Yates Center 2021 graduates for $3,000 per semester to continue their education.
GEAR UP wants to continue this program but needs the community's input for their next grant application. The information provided in this survey is vital in helping staff to develop the best program proposal possible for our school district.

Graduation: Due to rain in the forecast the class of 2021 graduation ceremony will be held in Norris Gym starting at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 15.

YCMS Quiz Bowl A & B Teams recently received their medals for a second place finish at Westphalia! The B Team also placed 1st at Oswego! Congratulations!!

Free Sports Physicals: (May 18) USD #366 will be providing free sports physicals for students in grades 6-11 who wish to compete in KSHSAA activities during the 2021-22 school year. Prior to May 18 students will need to complete the physical form provided by the school office. The form will take some time to fill out so pick one up early! (Please remember to bring the form to school on May 18!)

Attention Seniors: Make sure you return your Chrome Books to the school to be cleared and reset. Once this process has been completed the Chrome Book is yours to keep.

Wildcat Golf came home from the Three Rivers League Golf Meet with 3 individual medalist and a Runner Up finish in the team score. For the Wildcats individual place winners: Jack King - 1st 76, Easton Reynolds-2nd 78 and Canon Cavender - 10th 110. As a team the Cats scores 387 with Jayhawk Linn taking the championship. The Wildcats next action will be Monday at Erie in the Regional Championship.
