In Honor of Teacher Appreciation Week the District would like to take the time to say Thank you to our Teachers. You have overcome difficult times by supporting our kids in a time when they needed you the most. The ability to adapt to extenuating circumstances when you could not be in the classrooms have not gone unnoticed. Thank you to Our Amazing Teachers!
The Trendel Family Scholarship was established 2018. Robert & Sally Trendel worked for USD #366 for over 30 years. The family established the scholarship to help a YCHS graduate further their education. A scholarship for $500 is awarded to Madelyn Collins
The USD #366 Educational Foundation was established in 2010. It was established for the purpose of awarding a scholarship to a YCHS Senior to help them pursue education. This year they are awarding two $500 scholarships. This year’s recipients are: Sarah Barry and Erin Shepard
The Marvin LeRoy Schreiber Memorial Scholarship was established in 2012. Mr. Schreiber graduated from Yates Center in the late 1930’s. They are awarding two scholarships each in the amount of $250.00, this year’s recipients are: Madelynn Collins and Taylor Jacobs
The Greg Knapp Memorial Scholarship was established by his parents in 1976 after Greg’s untimely death. The scholarship is in the amount of $300.00 and this year’s recipient is: Erin Shepard
The Lloyd Steel Memorial Scholarship was established by his family in 1987 for the purpose of awarding two scholarships to Seniors wanting to further their education. Each scholarship is in the amount of $375.00. This year the recipients are: Sarah Barry and Caden Graham
The H. E. Gene Johnston Scholarship. Mr. Johnston established this scholarship to recognize a YCHS graduate and help support their education endeavors. Each recipient will receive a one time offering of $500.00. This year's recipients are: Sarah Barry and Stephenie Righini
The Crandall Ranch Scholarship was established in 2005 by the late Mr. & Mrs. Abbot Crandall. The scholarship is to be awarded to a senior who is going into an agricultural related field. The scholarship is in the amount of $300.00 and this year’s recipient is: Kayle Smith
The Don & Sharon Elder Memorial Scholarship. Because of their love of baseball & softball the scholarship is being offered to senior members of the YCHS softball team.This years scholarship is for $100.00 and the recipients are: Madelyn Collins, Julia Day and Taylor Jacobs
Today students in Mrs. Bauman’s class met along with Mrs. Wendland to play a literacy game. #togetherwhileapart
A Shout Out to G&W Foods here in Yates Center for the Donations of bags for the meals. Please Thank them for this generous donation.
Shout Out to Caney Valley Agape Network & Food Pantry. They gave Woodson County USD 366 a generous donation of grapes and bananas for the breakfasts and lunches. Please thank them! They have a Facebook page.

This morning Mrs. Panko's 5th grade did a Mystery Skype via ZOOM with another class from Illinois. Our class was able to answer their state first and won. Congrats! Thanks to everyone who showed up and was patience with technology and learning how to make this work!
