Last week the pre k class celebrated a birthday.
YCHS Volleyball competed in West Elk last night, also playing Fredonia. Varsity beat West Elk 25-22, 17-25, 25-18, but fell to Fredonia 14-25, 25-21, 20-25. JV, in their debut, played hard, but came up short in both their matches. 13-25, 19-25 and 20-25, 17-25. Good job ladies and keep up the hard work!

There has been a change made to the Junior High/High School Cross Country Schedule.
On Thursday September 14th, we will attend the Wellsville Meet. It was previously scheduled for Parsons.
This decision was made to ensure our Junior High runners had the opportunity to compete.
SEKA is looking for after-school help. The hours would be Monday-Thursday (with an occasional Friday) 3-5:30PM. Pay is $15.03 per hour.

Freshman parent meeting Wednesday, August 30 at 5:30 pm in HS commons. All Freshman parents are encouraged to attend.
The senior class will be selling Blue and Gold for a class Fundraiser please contact any senior. You may call the HS 620-625-8820 if you would like a senior come see you. Seniors will need to sell 10 items to meet their goal.
All Junior Class Parents are invited to a parent meeting on Monday, August 28 at 6 pm in the High School Commons area. Please make plans to attend.
YCHS Yearbooks from 2022-23 school year are ready to be picked up. They may be
picked up Wednesday, August 23 after school in the art room. You can also call the HS office at 620-625-8820 to make other arrangements for pickup. There are also 15 extra copies if you did not purchase one it will be first come first serve.

The High School Football Jamboree @ Hartford scheduled for Friday, 8/25/23, has been cancelled.
The fourth grade had a busy day and they even found time to save Sam. #learningisfun
Mrs. Karen Jesseph, visited the 4th grade today. They learned the history of African Music and how drums were used to send messages. She taught them how to play and sing a song. Their character traits of listening and collaboration were practiced in making it a success.
