Congratulations to YCHS FFA! They competed in the Milk Quality and Products contest in Independence. A Team earned 3rd place, receiving a plaque. Wylee Shaffer, a member of the A team placed 6th, individually, receiving a medal. The B Team placed 4th.
Hollie Yoho with Southwind District presented the life cycle of a butterfly to our Kindergarteners today. Mrs. Yoho also brought each Kindergarten class a container of live caterpillars so that the students can watch the butterfly life cycle emerge right before their eyes!
Students in grades five through eight today spent some time with author, Paul Griffin, learning about the importance of telling your story. Paul will be available tonight , March 28th, at the Iola Public Library from 5-6 pm to meet and sign books. Thanks to the Helen Gates Whitehead Trust and the Author Visit program.
