Don't forget! MS Volleyball practice starts next week!


Yates Center Cross County - There will be a student/parent meeting for those interested in participating in cross country at the BOE office on, Wednesday, August 11 at 6:30 pm. Students must be in grades 6-12 to participate and have a physical on file. There will be physicals provide for free on August 12 at the high school from 9 am to noon, if students don’t currently have one. If your student isn’t doing cross country, we hope they are participating in something to start the school year! Research shows that students who participate in school activities tend to do much better in school than those that don’t.

School is just around the corner! The high school teachers spent the afternoon receiving training on the use of zSpace in the classroom. zSpace is a 3D technology for use in the classroom.

HS Volleyball practice: starts on Monday, August 16th and 17th at 7:30 am at the Norris Gymnasium. Players must have a current physical on file to practice. Bring other tennis shoes besides your volleyball shoes.
Parents Meeting: August 20th at the high school commons at 6:00 pm. Coach King and Coach Cummings will have a short informational meeting to discuss uniforms, team dinners, team rules, and parent conduct. This is for parents only, no players.

There will be a High School/Middle School (7-12) Football Parent Meeting on Wednesday, August 11th, at 6:30 pm at the Yates Center Sports Complex (Football Field) All parents must attend in order to discuss team expectations and practice schedules. Greenbush fun with robots

Sixth Grade Athletic Participation - All sixth-grade USD 366 students will be able to participate in all middle school sports activities, except for football, which is not allowed under KSHSAA rules. For students to participate in these activities they must have a physical on file and maintain grade eligibility. Physicals will be offered for free at the high school on August 12 from 9 am to noon. More information regarding physicals will be sent closer to the date. The first day that any practice can begin, high school or middle school is August 16.

COVID Update-August 5, 2021 - The COVID case count for Woodson County as of August 5 is at eight cases, with two of these cases dropping off on Friday. As far as the district goes, it will be recommended to the BOE not to require mask wearing where we can to begin the school year. After the BOE meeting next Monday, we will provide information regarding the opening of school as it relates to COVID.

Greenbush brought some fun activities to JumpStart today.



Yates Center Pre-School Screening is Wednesday, August 11, 2021. The screening will take place at the Yates Center Elem. Annex from 8:00-11:00 & 12:45-2:45. Children must be 3 years old by 08/31/2021. We will screen 4 year olds who have not attended pre-school before. Middle School students experienced the zSpace technology today. They figured it out fast and are looking forward to learning with it this year.

More of the summer JumpStart students enjoyed learning with the new zSpace technology. This will be available for all teachers and students to experience this school year thanks to a grant that the school received.
