Josie Mardis and her Big Adventure
25 years ago on Feb. 18th Josie was in a car accident on the way home from Yates Center High School basketball practice. She suffered from a spinal cord injury and was told she would never walk again.
Last year she got an opportunity to participate in a spinal research study at Louisville, Kentucky through the Kentucky Spinal Cord Injury Research Center. She went there for testing and it was determined that she was a good candidate to see if they could allow her to walk again.
Her surgery is scheduled for Feb. 23rd. The proceeds from these bracelets will be sent to Josie to help with her living expenses while she completes this study.

Congrats on a 3rd place finish at Regional Scholars' Bowl. The team of Adam Spencer, Molly Proper, Izzy Lewis, Kevin Brown, Tayla Baker and Wylee Shaffer have also earned entry to State next weekend! Nice job!

First grade enjoyed the 100th Day of School!

As 2nd grade wraps up their “People Who Cause Change” unit their end of unit project was a wax museum exhibit. Each student chose someone who caused change in the world and created a speech at school regarding that person’s life. At home, they created a poster timeline that showcased 5 events in their person’s life. Last Friday, they became a wax museum exhibit where visitors would hit their “talk” button and students would recite their paragraph by memory telling each visitor about their person. A big thank you to all of the parental involvement to help this project come to life!
