YCHS Earns 5th Place at 1A DI State Scholar Bowl
Adam Spencer, Molly Proper, Izzy Lewis, Kevin Brown, Tayla Baker and Wylee Shaffer advanced from pool play beating Centralia and Wichita - Central Christian, then went on to beat Little River to earn 5th place on the day.

YCHS and YCMS cheer squads traveled to Valley Center for Rally in the Valley Cheer and Dance Competition. Superior is the highest award that can be earned at this event.
YCHS cheerleaders earned a Superior trophy and ribbon for their 4 person stunt routine and another Superior trophy and ribbon for their dance. Most of the schools there are quite large and our small squad really held its own. They compete in the same category as all other high school squads and the scorecard called their routine the "best routine of the night".
They did a great job and we could not be more proud of these ladies!

Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade students attended a program today at the Bowlus Center. The watched a play based on the book "In the year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson."

Ms. Cradduck‘s 3rd grade and Mrs. Estes’ 5th grade classes worked together to complete a STEM project. Students had to build a carrier to deliver a heart safely across a zip line. They had to revise and improve their carrier to make it successful!
