Wildcat Winter Classic begins on Monday, December 5th. YCHS will play on Tuesday, December 6th at 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm in the Norris Gym.
CONGRATULATIONS to Vanessa Ballin, Junior at Yates Center High School, for being selected for the SE District High School Honor Choir sponsored by Southeast Kansas Music Educators Association (SE KMEA). After auditioning in early November, Vanessa was one of 36 altos selected for the 150-member honor choir. SE District encompasses 15 counties in Southeast Kansas and 22 area high schools. The honor choir will rehearse all day Saturday, December 3rd under the direction of Dr. Julie Yu, Co-Director of Choral Studies at Kansas State University and then perform in concert at 4:30 p.m. at The Bicknell Family Center for the Arts in Pittsburg. Vanessa is the daughter of Refugio & Tonya Ballin.

Thank you for making the MS STUCO food drive a success! The local pantry was able to provide Thanksgiving meals to several local families. The class with the most items donated was Mrs. Collins first grade class. Thank you to everyone!
