Mrs. Taylor's Culinary Arts class spend the class period talking with TikTok star Baker Bettie from Chicago. Bettie produces video segments on baking and cooking via a lot of social media outlets. Bettie has working the world of culinary arts for a number of years.
The Wildcats continue their winning ways at Fredonia. The Cats came home with a split with West Elk and Fredonia. YCHS defeated Fredonia 25-16, 25-18 and fell to West Elk 25-22,22-25 and 21-25. The Volleyball squad will be back in action on Sept. 7 against Eureka and Marmaton Valley starting at 5:00 PM in Yates Center. The Cats are now 6-1 on the season.
The Junior Varsity Volleyball squad opened their 2021 season with a split of games on the evening. The Junior Cats defeated West Elk and just fell short of defeating Fredonia. Next action for the Cats will be their home opener on September 7 at 5:00 PM.

Due to high temperatures and heat indexes, Burlington High School has decided to alter race schedule and distances to ensure health of participants.
Revised schedule:
5:30 p.m. 7th grade boys and girls 1 mile

Following Boys High School race 4K

Hello Wildcat Parents! Today K-8 students will be provided with an envelope containing information pertaining to dental screenings and consents for those screenings. High school students will receive their information before the end of the week. Also, if your child is not up to date on immunizations then a letter for that will be in their envelope as well. If medical or religious exemptions apply to your student we ask that you fill out the waiver included. The school district is allowing a 90 day grace period for the immunizations to be completed. If your student was sent an immunization letter and doesn't receive the immunization with documentation being provided to the school or the medical/religious waiver is not completed and returned to the school by November 16th, 2021 the student will not be able to attend classes until it is complete. Please check your student's bags or class folders tonight for their envelopes.
