YCHS band members attended the KSHSAA Solo/Small ensemble festival in Independence today. Congratulations to students on the following ratings: Mirandi Sorenson received a II (Excellent) Rating on her solo. Jayda Rice, Alaina Cartright, and Kori Simmons received I (Outstanding) ratings on their solos. Isaac Stoll and Corbin Schultz received a I rating on their duet. Alaina Cartright and Jayda Rice received a I rating on their duet.

The forensics team traveled to Neodesha yesterday and placed 2nd as a team.

Nine events made it to finals and four qualified for the state tournament.
